Trip to Oregon

We recently took a trip to Oregon.  I hadn't seen my sister Beth and her hubby for over a year, and they were going up from LA to celebrate a late Christmas with my mom, so Donald and I decided we would make the trip as well!

We were excited to see family, but always dread (understatement) traveling with Charlotte.  She normally does just fine, but no matter the situation traveling with a one year old is never very much fun.  Well this time it was HORRIBLE!!!  We were just about to board at the Tulsa airport and Charlotte had a major blow out, I had to throw away her clothes, that's how bad it was, she was covered from knees to shoulders.  Luckily we are cheap and carried on our luggage and for once in my life I was very organized and had Charlotte outfits, from her socks to her bows in gallon size zip lock bags.  So before we checked our bags at the gate we grabbed two bags of clothes and hoped for the best.  Then it went from bad to worse, we were taking off and it was a pretty queasy take off, and Charlotte threw up EVERYWHERE!  All over us, the seats, the floor, the poor lady sitting next to us (who was and angel sent from God, this lady was soo sweet and could not have been nicer about a stranger baby throwing up on her).  It just went down hill from there, to make a long story shorter, she didn't throw up anymore but continued to have diarrhea for the rest of the flight and for the next 2-3 days.  I ran out of diapers in the airport, so I was racing around trying to find them in the airport (not an easy thing to do).  The good thing was that she was at least she was happy in between episodes.

We had a great trip otherwise.  We got to hang out with Donald's parents for a little bit and his Grandma, which was nice, and we got to spend a lot of time with my family.  It was soo nice seeing everyone and hanging out playing games and having everyone together.

Here's some photos from the trip..

  1. There is nothing better than being together as sisters...so so glad you were able to make that trip (however awful it was to get there).

Add pinochle to the list of things we should do in June.
